Madrasa Darul Uloom Nizamiya, located in the town of Raza Nagar Malhaur, adjacent to Gomti Nagar in the eastern direction from the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, has been operating for over a decade. This esteemed institution is dedicated to providing education to the children of the community.
The madrasa takes full responsibility for the students’ education as well as their accommodation, food, and healthcare. Despite having no permanent source of income, the institution has managed to construct a magnificent building. Within the premises, there is also the Masjid Ala Hazrat, whose foundation stone was laid by Allama Abdul Mannan Raza Khan Miyan, the grandson of Ala Hazrat, on October 2, 2010. This mosque facilitates the five daily prayers, the Friday congregational prayer, and the Eid prayers for the community.
The madrasa has provisions for schooling from primary level up to the 8th grade. In this department, children from outside come to study and return home after their classes. The curriculum follows the structure of government schools, offering subjects like Hindi, English, Urdu, Mathematics, and Science. Alongside these, the students are also taught religious studies and fundamental subjects of faith.
Madrasa Darul Uloom Nizamiya runs a Quran memorization course under the supervision of highly skilled teachers. Currently, five instructors are serving in the Department of Hifz-ul-Quran at the madrasa. The teachers at Madrasa Darul Uloom Nizamiya take individual care of each student concerning their education, ensuring personalized attention to their learning journey.
This is a five-year course where students study books based on the curriculum of Jamia Ashrafia, along with the inclusion of modern subjects. Upon completing this course, Darul Uloom issues a Molviat certificate, which is considered equivalent to a high school qualification. This is a two-year course in which students are taught advanced subjects of Islamic sciences, particularly Quranic studies, Hadith, the science of Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Usul-e-Fiqh (principles of jurisprudence), Balaghat (rhetoric), Arabic literature, and more. Alongside these subjects.
After completing the Alamiyat (Graduate) course, Darul Uloom also offers a two-year Fazilat (Specialization) course. This course covers the same syllabus and subjects as the Alamiyat course, but the books and references differ slightly.
Darul Uloom has established a Darul Ifta where expert Islamic jurists (Muftis) provide their services. This department caters to the questions of the Muslim community, offering satisfying answers in accordance with the principles of Islam.
Darul Uloom has also arranged facilities for students to learn computers. There is a lab named the Noori Computer Center, where students of Darul Uloom acquire computer skills.
Darul Uloom offers a dedicated program for memorizing the Quran. In this department, skilled instructors guide students to memorize the Quran with precision, focusing on Tajweed (proper pronunciation) and fluency. Students complete the memorization under a structured curriculum and schedule.Special emphasis is placed on Tajweed and Qirat, ensuring that students master the rules of Quranic recitation.
Darul Uloom houses a well-stocked library with a vast collection of books on Islamic sciences, literature, and general knowledge. The library serves as a valuable resource for students and scholars engaged in research and study.
To enhance linguistic proficiency, Darul Uloom has a specialized Arabic language department. This department helps students attain mastery in classical and modern Arabic, equipping them to understand Islamic texts and communicate effectively in the global Islamic context.
Contact nowDarul Uloom, recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board, has received approval up to the Aaliya level (equivalent to higher education). Students of Darul Uloom also appear for various Madrasa Board examinations such as Munshi, Maulvi, Aalim, Kamil, and Fazil, ensuring a comprehensive academic foundation.
The mission of Darul Uloom Nizamiya is to produce individuals who, amidst the prevailing environment of materialism, irreligiosity, moral laxity, and religious discord, embody sincerity, love, and non-violence. These individuals should not only practice their faith with conviction but also invite others towards it through wisdom and compassion.
